I've honestly never understood this.

I merely resize my pictures because I take them at huge resolutions (up of 4k), and I resize them downwardly to ~1440p only for file size and uploading bandwidth purposes (so my final pictures I upload to tumblr are around 1-7mb in size, as opposed to anywhere from fifteen-60+mb).

My pictures await just fine.
